Which celeb face do you have?

You do not have to be a geometry expert to figure out the shape of your face. (Thank goodness!!) The key to figuring out your face shape is examining the length of your face in a mirror. Take a look at the width from cheek to cheek, and the forehead. Now, that you know your face shape, find out which celebs share your shape and which makeup tricks best flatter your facial features.

 Oval Shape

Forehead is wider than the chin
Prominent cheekbones
Face gracefully tapers to a narrow oval chin
Think of it like the shape of an egg.

Other famous ovals: Julie Roberts and Kate Hudson

Makeup Tip: Eyebrows should be shaped in a natural arch. Your face can support most makeup trends and no contouring is necessary.

                                             Heart Shape

Similar to oval but the chin tapers to a point.

Makeup Tip: Drawing attention to your eyes will take the attention away from the narrow chin and jaw line area. Use dark eyeliners and false lashes to make your eyes pop.

Other famous hearts: Jennifer Love Hewitt and Katie Holmes

Oblong Shape

Forehead, cheekbones and jawline are all about the same width.
Can tend to have a prominent chin
Has an elongated appearance

Opt for a less dramatic eyebrow arch. This will make you face shape look shorter.

Other famous oblongs: Liv Tyler, Kelly Rowland and Sarah Jessica Parker

                                          Square Shape

Forehead, cheekbones and jawline all about the same width
Squared jawline is the most obvious feature

Makeup Tip: To soften angles apply blush toward the center of the face and going up at an angle. This will make the face appear longer and give the illusion that both the forehead and the jaw line are narrow.

Other famous squares: Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba and Janet Jackson (Maybe it's a J thing...LOL)

Round Shape

Face is almost as wide as it is long
Face is widest at the cheeks

Makeup Tip: Use your powder brush to apply a powder or bronzer that is slightly darker than your foundation, and brush on either side of your face and below your jawline. This defines the jaw and makes the face appear thinner.

 Other famous rounds: Charlize Theron

Diamond Shape

Not as common as the other face shapes
Typically the face is highly angular
The forehead is somewhat short
The face is widest at the temples

Makeup Tip: Warm toned blush or bronzers applied above your eyebrows, blended up to your hairline and on and under the pointiest part of your chin will reduce the length of your face.

Other famous diamonds: Rihanna and Felicity Huffman

Remember, no one shape is better than the others. We are all different, and we are all beautiful. (That’s my soap box and I’m sticking to it!)

Stay beautiful. XOXO
